Five months ago, the idealism of “change” swept away the entire country’s snoring hopes. Write-ups, both solicited and unsolicited, flooded the cyber world. Facebook, being one of the most popular social networking sites, has been polluted with shouts, statuses, videos, photos, notes, and tags that rigorously call for change. Then came the 10th of May 2010, the Filipino people inked their thumbs bumped by the urged to see the light again that could save them from the blindness that has long been forcibly furled in front of them. The National Elections gracefully headed off as it concludes the new leaders of the country.
Today, dirty fingers are in the sphere of romantic fusion of heaven and earth again. Ten days ago, barangay official candidates for election said their piece of sweet luring promises. Some won’t agree with me, but I find it really LAME that some candidates just have the “guts” and nothing else. Of course, I’m speaking for myself within my proximity. Some would justify their stand, but would come short towards the end. And most would just “be there” and that’s it. Lame. That is why I am not surprised by the reaction of the “used to” involved individuals. Facebook, for one, had and has not been very much conversant with this anymore. It seems to have lost its passion. I’ve seen one or two campaign photos and nothing follows. No more tags, videos and statuses for change. Or maybe, my less than 2k FB friends ought not to talk about it since most are from various barangays.
The Barangay elections head started early today. Unlike the previous packed full of electorates and spectators, it has been smooth sailing. No long lines. No missing names. No automated machine votes rejected. I voted for less than 10 minutes compared to almost 3 hours last national elections. I have two possible notions for this. It’s either the citizens have learned enough or that they already lost the gist for barangay elections. I cringe for the latter. Let me quote a status I’ve read recently, it says, “A team is only as strong as its weakest member.” A barangay is may be the smallest unit of the administrative division here in the Philippines, yet it functions together with the entire administration as one. It contributes to the shallow movement of the run.
If you got your right index finger dirtied today, YOU ARE HOT! We’ll run the race as one.

My sister’s and mine after we voted :)
So much for the missing - reminiscing awfully happy turned gloomy college moments . It’s time to get going. My MA classes have been quite good … only with much requirements to accomplish » Academic Writing. However, my teaching task is fulfilling though <3 I’m learning and loving it at the same time.

*An exuberant unfussy petite far from debonair academically disposed AB college student —- this was ME four years in the making.
An exuberant fussy still petite, nonetheless urbane, (ought to be) academically liable for collegiate newbies and antiques (LOL) – this is ME now.
I still find bizarre up to now how the latter happened. lols :D Guess i’m experiencing the best of both worlds.
<3 Kate Voegele’s single “Manhattan From the Sky” ^_~
Baby
What are you doing today
What are you doing later
I don’t know my way through a maze of gray skyscrapers
But I’m willing to learn
If you want me to I’ll stay just where I am
But I promise just to follow when I land
And you can take my word for that
You are my manhattan from the sky
You look so neat and tidy when I’m way up high
But I know your streets are lined with a fine mess inside
And I wanna come down and walk around your mind

Daisies
Once upon an old daydream
That’s what you gave me
Out on the corner of Broadway and 48th st
On a rainy afternoon
I could start discovering your world
And I would make a damn good city girl
Things would start to bloom
I’m sure
You are my Manhattan from the sky
You look so neat and tidy when I’m way up high
But I know your streets are lined with a fine mess inside
And I wanna come down and walk around your mind
I know you want me to see
Don’t lie to me
Why you gotta be so shy to me
I ain’t buying the false anxiety
Let your fortress fall
What is gonna take to get you there
If fear was money you’d be a millionaire
Or all alone in a leather swivel chair
Counting stacks of gold
You are my Manhattan from the sky
You look so neat and tidy when I’m way up high
But I know your streets are lined with a fine mess inside
And I wanna come down and walk around Oh
You are my Manhattan from the sky
You look so neat and tidy when I’m way up high
But I know your streets are lined with a fine mess inside
And I wanna come down and walk around your mind Oh

Forever and Always
Taylor Swift
Once upon a time
I believe it was a Tuesday
When I caught your eye
We caught onto something
I hold onto the night
You looked me in the eye
And told me you loved me
Were you just kidding?
Cause it seems to me
This thing is breaking down
We almost never speak
I don’t feel welcome anymore
Baby what happened
Please tell me cause one second it was perfect
Now you’re halfway out the door
And I stare, at the phone
He still, hasn’t called
And you feel so low you can’t feel, nothing at all
And you flashback to when he said
Forever and always
Oh, and it rains in your bedroom, everything is wrong
It rains when you’re here and it rains when you’re gone
Cause I was there when you said
Forever and always
Was I out of line? Did I say something way to honest?
Did you run and hide like a scared little boy?
I looked into your eyes, thought I knew you for a minute
Now I’m not so sure
So heres to everything
Coming down to nothing
Heres to silence
That cuts me to the core
Where is this going?
Thought I knew for a minute but I don’t anymore
And I stare, at the phone
He still, hasn’t called
And you feel so low you can’t feel, nothing at all
And you flashback to when he said
Forever and always
Oh, and it rains in your bedroom, everything is wrong
It rains when you’re here and it rains when you’re gone
Cause I was there when you said
Forever and always
Did you mean it baby?
I don’t think so
Back up, baby back up
Did you forget everything?
Back up, baby back up
Did you forget everything?
Oh, and it rains in your bedroom, everything is wrong
It rains when you’re here and it rains when you’re gone
Cause I was there when you said
Forever and always
And I stare, at the phone
He still, hasn’t called
And you feel so low you can’t feel, nothing at all
And you flashback to when we said
Forever and always
And it rains in your bedroom, everything is wrong
It rains when you’re here and it rains when you’re gone
Cause I was there when you said
Forever and always
Didn’t mean it baby
Said forever and always
